The “Side Car Bicycle” Offers Transport and a U-Haul Rolled Into One
Just when we thought we’d left the days of three-wheeled bikes in our childhood, Brooklyn-based studio Horse Brand Co. gave us the scoop on a new creation we’re going to go ahead and call the most sophisticated tricycle we’ve seen in awhile.

The “Side Car Bicycle,” as the folks at Horse have named it, is comprised of a hardwood flatbed that is supported by a 12-inch wheel. For those who are all about the active lifestyle this little addition is great for stowing a surfboard, letting your pet tag along for the ride, or even loading tents, mini barbecue grills etc. Additionally, the bed supports up 100 pounds of weight, which is a very decent load. It is also supported by a chromoly alloy steel framework, so standing the test of time shouldn’t be a problem.

The bicycle portion is equally as functional and handsome, and is outfitted with a Brooks England saddle and handlebars. Another unique bonus? All of the wood used to make the Side Car was reclaimed from Coney Island ‘s famous boardwalk.
