Japanese Airline “All Nippon Airways” Announce Star Wars Themed Airplanes
All Nippon Airways has announced a fleet of Boeing aircraft which will be painted with the likeness of Star Wars  characters. During the unveiling on September 13,  Star Wars music played as Storm Troopers stood guard and an R2-D2 inspired craft emerged from the hanger in Everett, Wash. The obedient-bot is accompanied by BB-8, a new character that will be introduced in the upcoming Star Wars  film The Force Awakens. BB-8 will also be painted onto one of ANA’s Boeing 777-300ER jets. In addition to the exterior, the airplanes will also adorn headrests, napkins and cups with movie-inspired images and offer all six Star Wars movies as in-flight entertainment. The first flight is set to depart on October 18 and will travel from Tokyo’s Haneda Airport to Vancouver, Canada.
