Contemporary artist Tom Sachs will be hosting a pop-up event at Beams Harajuku from April 19 until May 6, offering exclusive goods like a NASA-braded folding chair, collaborative Beams x Tom Sachs T-shirt, and goods from Tom Sachs’s official online site.
The white T-shirt is branded with the American and Japanese flags, as well as NASA branding on the chest, and one of Sachs’ famous mantras on the back – “It Won’t Fail Because of Me.”
The goods are only available in-store for the duration of the pop-up in Tokyo, with pick-up times for the NASA folding chair listed on the Beams Instagram.
The Beams event also coincides with Sachs’ “Tea Ceremony” exhibition at the Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery, where the artist is displaying a series of 2019 artworks, including his Comin’ Home, McDonald’s, Untitled, and Tres Genereaciones canvas creations.
