Of all the bizarre things Kanye West has said of late, a comment he made in a TMZ live interview about slavery being a “choice” was likely the most shocking of them all.
“When you hear about slavery for 400 years, for 400 years, that sounds like choice,” he declared. “You was there for 400 years, and it’s all of y’all?”
His controversial remarks have evidently left a bad taste in people’s mouths. Aside from the lashings made by netizens, rapper Snoop Dogg has digitally lightened West’s face in reaction to the latter’s negation of black history.
“The new Kanye, he wrote on Instagram. “Well, [you’re] all white now. Way to go, dude.”
