Polaroid Revives Retro ‘96 Cams’ As A Throwback To The Colorful 90s

Polaroid is tugging at nostalgic heartstrings with a limited edition Originals 600 ‘96 Cam’, a cheery revival of the old-school device that recorded many a birthday party and beach excursion.

Restored to its youth in two eye-popping colorways, the camera comes in bold, 90s fashion-inspired palettes ‘Jazz Red’ and ‘Fresh Blue’, and is compatible with the classic ‘600’ films.

“An analog instant camera can’t connect to the internet or post to social media,” the brand wrote in a press statement. “But the 5,000 chemical reactions that take place every time the shutter clicks create an original photo that is impossible to reproduce.”
