PANTONE Creates Special Vibrant Shade Of Orange For Comedian Conan O’Brien

Pantone Color Institute has created a color called ‘Team Coco Orange’ to celebrate comedian Conan O’Brien’s television career and his Team Coco brand.

The color is said to represent O’Brien’s spirited comedy, which is “energizing, fearless, warmhearted and animated.” Its main purpose is to convey “a playful sense of fun.” Laurie Pressman, Pantone Color Institute’s vice president, added that the color is also “good-natured and friendly with a touch of tang.”

Michael Engleman, chief marketing officer for American multichannel television network TBS, said he isn’t so sure any other television personality could be identified by “something so simple as a color.”

TBS will be displaying the color across its artistic exhibits in New York. The ‘Team Coco Orange’ color that covers a large part of NYC’s West Village will be included in Team Coco’s branding.
