LEGO Pokes Fun At ‘Tidying Up With Marie Kondo’ Craze In New Advert

Netflix’s highly popular new show, Tidying Up with Marie Kondo, proves that no one can compel you to fulfill your New Year’s resolution like the Japanese organizing consultant can.

The expert on minimalism encourages fans to declutter their spaces with her ‘KonMari’ method, which involves them sorting out belongings one category at a time, and then keeping only the items that “spark joy.”

LEGO has responded with the one statement that might be running on every hoarder’s mind: “But everything sparks joy.”

In an amusing image posted on the LEGO Singapore Facebook page, the brand features a figurine modeled to look like Kondo—complete with her signature bangs—that is surrounded by white LEGO bricks.

Sure, it’s hard to leggo of your LEGOs, but it’s all fun and games until you accidentally step on one of these bricks.
