In this ‘True Nourishment’ ad by MullenLowe London for Asian cuisine restaurant Wagamama, the team channels Japanese-style anime illustrations reminiscent of works by Studio Ghibli and its co-founder Hayao Miyazaki.

The anime-style visuals, which pay homage to Wagamama’s Japanese roots, come sandwiched between live-action footage. This is the brand’s first television spot under its tagline, “From Bowl to Soul.”
